Decking and Deck Care Featuring Composite Decking

Posted on 21st February 2023 by MagentoTeam FlintStudios

Introducing the long anticipated and much requested Composite Decking, now available at Ray Grahams. This is a long-lasting alternative to timber decking and is easy to install and maintain. Available in modern graphite or silver colours, the decking boards are manufactured from a combination of recycled wood and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) giving it a natural look but hugely increasing the durability - no painting or staining required. The boards are reversible to allow you to choose the profile that suits you - either four lines per board or high frequency lines. This innovative product has an expected lifetime of 15-20 years with a manufacturer warranty of 10 years thanks to the fact that they resist rotting and decay.

Not convinced? Still fancy a traditional timber deck? We have competitively priced decking kits from 12' up to 16' square. These are supplied with everything you need to complete your decking
including decking boards, joists, nails, screws, newels, bolts, spindles, handrails, baserails and braces. Have something more bespoke in mind? Give us a list of material requirements and we will give you a comprehensive quotation.

Need to care for your existing timber-based deck? We have a fantastic number of tools, stains, protectants, oil and reviver from great brands like Ronseal and Liberon to help you get your deck
back to like-new appearance. In store our friendly staff can advise you on which of the range of treatments may be best. In our yard our staff can cut replacement lengths of timber decking to your required size if pieces of yours have already rotted beyond saving.

One of the most popular tools to aid in the application of oils and varnishes is the Ronseal Perfect Finish Decking Applicator (pictured). The pad on the applicator conforms to the profile of the

decking boards allowing you to quickly and easily get your whole deck treated in a smooth & even finish regardless of how rough the timber is.

All of our decking oils and varnishes are available in various colours such as oak, teak, cedar, pine and even slate & charcoal, to match the desired deck appearance.
